Due to the security force operation in Jenin, the Gilboa Crossing in Northern Samaria is closed to vehicular traffic.Pedestrian and commercial passage is still permitted.

The IDF is currently striking terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin area, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit published the following announcement to foreign press: "Please note that the city of Jenin and Jenin Camp are an active combat area at the moment. For your safety, we advise you to stay in the designated press point set by the IDF Press Desk, and keep away from areas of live fire exchanges."

Opposition leader Yair Lapid voiced support for the security operation in Jenin: "I support the security forces who are operating in Jenin. We are all behind you. This is a justified operation against terrorist infrastructure, being conducted thanks to quality and precise intelligence. The Commando, Paratrooper, and Golani Brigades, alongside the Shin Bet, are operating against terrorist infrastructure and attempts to build Iranian-funded missile manufacturing sites," Lapid stated adding: "Together with all the people of Israel, I pray for our troops."

Religious Zionism Chairman Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich praised this morning's counterterror operation in Jenin."This morning, we are all praying for the well-being and success of the soldiers of the IDF and the security forces. The people of Israel stand behind you. I wish to support the Prime Minister and Defense Minister and the IDF and security forces commanders. We have begun to change direction in our fight against terror and to work with G-d's help to restore Israeli deterrence and security."

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' spokesperson reacted to the Israeli counterterror operation in Jenin, alleging that "the Israeli government is carrying out a new war crime in Jenin and in the refugee camp."

National Unity Chairman MK Benny Gantz discussed the anti-terror operation in Jenin, stating: "I support the security forces who are determinedly and professionally operating at the moment in Jenin against the terror which has reared its head. We are all Ine front against terror. Any resolute and responsible action by the government will receive full support."
